In this guide we are going to explain
how you can export your video from Adobe Premiere to CCE
with my video server plugin v0.93. As an example we
take the sample file "Ztour" of premiere and
code this project as a PAL VCD with CCE. After reading
this guide you should be familiar with my plugin and can
start encoding your own video as VCD, SVCD or DVD. In
this guide we assume that you are using CCE but of
course you can use any encoder that reads AVI files and
code them in any format.
As source quality of the "Ztour"
is not very good, the quality of the output will also be
low.
Step 1:
First open the Ztour project within Adobe Premiere.
Step 2:
Select File->Export Timeline->Movie
Step 3:
This will bring up the Export Movie window.
Press Settings
Step 4:
Select the Video Server Plugin. If this
is the first time that you are using the plugin
click on "Advanced Settings". It is
normal that you get an CRC error the first time that
you use the plugin. If everything is correctly it should
detect that your are using Adobe Premiere and will load
the default settings for it. If you are not sure if
you are using the right
settings please verify them.
Step 5:
Because your source material (Ztour sample
file has a lower resolution than VCD) has not
the correct resolution for VCD, premiere can scale it
to the right format. Because we are going to create
an PAL VCD it is recommended that you set the Frame
Size to 352x288 and the frame rate to 25
fps. When you are done with this click on the OK button.
Step 6:
Now we are ready to start exporting.
When you click on the save button, the plugin starts
and creates the IPCserver.AVI (default in c:\). Please note that
the filename that you enter in the Export Movie window
is not the file that is written to disc. (For specialists:
it is the PIPEname to communicate to the Encoder).
When everything went O.K. you will see
the plugin window. DO NOT CLOSE THIS WINDOW.
Now you can open the IPCserver.AVI in CCE and
start encoding.
Step 7:
The plugin is now serving and
the file IPCserver.AVI is written to disc. Now
it is time to launch CCE and open open the file in CCE.
After CCE is started to click on the left most mouse
button in the middle on the CCE. This will
bring up an add button. Click on the Add.
This will bring up an file open dialog. Select IPCserver.AVI
and click on Open.
Step 8:
Now the file is opened in CCE. You
change the coding parameters my selecting the IPCserver.AVI. This can be done by clicking on the file
inside CCE, and then clicking on the left most mouse
button. If you set the encoding parameters, and are
ready to encode, click on the Encode button.
Step 9:
After you clicked on the encode button, CCE starts
encoding. If you selected mutipass encoding, CCE first
starts scanning the video by creating the IPCserver.vaf
file. After this is file is created, CCE starts creating
the mpv or mpg file.
